Microsoft™ Snapshot Viewer


Microsoft Snapshot Viewer enables you to view a report that was generated for you by your dental office. Snapshot is similar to Adobe's Portable Document Format (PDF) format but is much smaller in size. While the latest version of Adobe Acrobat Viewer is about 12 to 16 megabytes in size, the Microsoft Snapshot Viewer is just under 2 megabytes. So, downloading the Microsoft Snapshot Viewer takes less time than Adobe's PDF reader, especially for someone who does not have a high-speed internet connection.

Please note that you do not need to install the Snapshot Viewer if you have Microsoft Office 2000 or later installed on your computer since the Snapshot Viewer is pre-installed as part of Microsoft Office.

At present, Snapshot Viewer is not available for the Apple Macintosh platform, unless suitable Windows Emulator software is installed.

 

Instructions for downloading:

When you click on the "Download Microsoft Snapshot Viewer" below, you may be asked to open/run or save the file. 
  • If you Open/Run the file, it will begin the installation process immediately. 
  • If you save the file "Snpvw.exe" remember the directory you saved it to. The installation procedure is as following. 
 

Installation Procedure if file is saved to your hard-drive:

  1. Print these instructions.
  2. Close all open applications, e.g. e-mail, Word, Excel, etc.
  3. Double-click the file "Snpvw.exe".
  4. Click OK to accept the License Agreement.
  5. Click OK to install Snapshot Viewer in the c:/Program Files/Snapshot Viewer folder.
  6. Click "Complete Install".
  7. Click OK when installation is complete.
  8. You can now delete the file "Snpvw.exe".
